A special trip...

About a month ago I scheduled a special "trip" that happened to fall on Quinn's birthday. We decided to take Haydan to school late so she could come too. The timing was perfect really. For awhile now Quinn has been telling me that she wants a brother for her birthday. Well, that's not the easiest thing to produce on demand, and unfortunately Target does not have that kind of a baby aisle. But being the ever generous parents that we are we managed to come through for her - and on her birthday no less.

We made quite the little scene in the ultrasound room: One mom, one dad, and three little girls. Two were very excited to see what new little arrival we would be getting. And the other one was more interested in playing games on the ipad.  Bailey has become less than enthusiastic about having another baby. As she tells me every time I bring it up, "No. I the baby." Well at least she'll always be the baby girl.

I was telling the technician about our hope for a boy when the image appeared on the screen.

"You're in luck," she said.

We're having a BOY!!
