Halloween

Halloween night brought a few changes in wardrobe. Quinn decide to go more the cat route and Bailey wanted to wear our Little Mermaid costume instead of her princess dress.

We had a quick dinner with friends from down the street and then headed out trick or treating together.

I love our neighborhood for trick or treating. The neighborhood next door goes all out and draws hundreds of people, which usually means our is nice and quiet and pretty empty. When your kids are little it's nice to be able to let them run down the street, from house to house without worrying about cars are losing them in a crowd.

Our Little Mermaid:

The girls had such a great time. Another bonus to having a nearly empty neighborhood? The neighbors still there passing out candy splurge on the good stuff. These girls were loaded down with chocolate that their parents may or may have not eaten the most of.

This was Bailey's first real trick or treating experience and she was hilarious to watch. She would run eagerly to each door. If the door seemed too scary she would beat a quick retreat (and I mean quick) and wait in the street with mom and dad. She also (purposefully or not I'm not sure) would linger at each door with her bag extended long enough that most people eventually gave her more candy. Smart kid.
