{November 3 and 4, 2011}
From August until the first week of November my life was pretty much consumed by our Stake's musical. With rehearsals two nights a week and a run through that lasted for eight hours, this musical review was definitely a labor of love - sometimes more labor than love to tell the truth. But in the end I am so glad I participated in this. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. I preformed in several numbers and was Mary Poppins in Supercalifragilistic. (And, in case you're wondering, yes, I did learn to say it backwards.) There was one number from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat that included a children's chorus. Haydan was a part of that and absolutely loved doing it. Theses are just some pictures I took, I'll be getting more from the official photographer next weekend at our cast party.
This is the group of "mature" women (that's how the distinguished us from the young girls) that I performed with along with our director (middle front) after our last performance.
My friend Cathy, who came to see me. Our last number was a group ensemble and we performed "We Go Together" from Grease. I was a pink lady - and I even danced in heels.
Songs I was in:
Be Our Guest - chorus and principal dancer
Modern Major General - chorus and dancer
Joseph's Dream - Narrator (singing part)
Supercalifragilistic - Mary Poppins
Wash That Man - Chorus and dancer
We Go Together - Chorus
