Riding a Bike

So far Dan and I are 0 for 2 when it comes to teaching our kids how to ride a bike. Haydan we can take some credit because we did get her started, but her grandma was the one who finished the job. And as for Quinn...my friend's husband deserves all the credit.

A couple of weekends ago my friend and I, along with Haydan, spent an afternoon checking out some craft fairs. We left the rest of the kids with her husband. Being an ambitious dad he decided to take all four kids out for a bike ride. No bike with training wheels? No problem. Somehow he taught Quinn how to ride a bike in less than ten minutes. I'm convinced he's the bike whisperer and could make millions writing a book on his methods: How to teach a kid to ride a bike in 10 minutes or less. The titles catchy and whatever he does it really works!

He sent us this picture and some video while we were out. I was excited and sad at the same time - a milestone of growing up and I missed it! Quinn absolutely loves to ride her bike and is still going strong. Her steering is still a little wobbly at times so it's best to not get too close, but otherwise she's doing great! :)

I think he SHOULD write a book! :) But now you deserve a cut of the royalties for the catchy name. :)
